Don’t under estimate bad weather to get a good shot. I took this photo this week during Tropical Storm Debby here in Florida. I wanted to capture the motion blur of the water since the waves were so intense and catch it rushing against the pilings. As you look into this photo, you can feel the mood of the day….dreary, rainy, rough seas. Don’t be afraid to experiment in bad weather conditions, you may be very surprised with your results.

I had a great time on Saturday with all of the photographers! We had many wonderful subjects to photograph and even a Black Racer shown below. More workshops and Lightroom classes to come. I was very impressed with everyones images that were captured on Saturday.

Take advantage of this exciting opportunity to join Naples wildlife and nature photographer Dennis Goodman for a hands-on workshop. This class will focus on the smaller side of the Garden.
Take advantage of this exciting opportunity to join Naples wildlife and nature photographer Dennis Goodman for a hands-on workshop. This class will focus on the smaller side of the Garden. Dennis will work with each participant on camera settings, composition, bracketing, backgrounds, lighting and some HDR techniques out in the Gardens.

Class will reconvene to the classroom to learn tips on editing your photos, cropping and finishing your photographs in Lightroom 4. Please bring your own DSLR camera, camera manual and tripod. Personal laptop with imaging software is also recommended. This workshop is limited to 12 participants. Meet in Kapnick 124.
