Alligator 23 captures an alligator moving through water filled with brilliant gold, green, and amber reflections. Its armored head and back interrupt the colorful surface while remaining partially submerged. The surrounding reflections turn the wetland environment into an almost painterly backdrop without obscuring the reptile. This photograph pairs the alligator’s rugged form with an unusually vibrant natural palette.
