Great Egret 36 uses a long horizontal format to show the bird leaning low over dark water in pursuit of its next catch. The egret’s extended white body and curved neck are echoed almost perfectly in the reflection beneath it. Against the black surroundings, the bird appears luminous and exceptionally streamlined. This dramatic composition emphasizes patience, precision, and the graceful hunting posture of the Great Egret.
