Horse 37 brings together a rich chestnut coat and a long, pale flaxen mane that falls heavily along the neck. The horse lowers its head slightly, creating a gentle curve from the ears through the muzzle while the dark setting intensifies the warm coloring. Fine strands of the mane catch the light and add movement to an otherwise still pose. This photograph is defined by the contrast between deep copper tones and the light, flowing hair.
